Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Presbyterian Peace Fellowship (PPF)?

The Presbyterian Peace Fellowship is a nationwide community of Christians and people of conscience taking action to end war and violence. Since 1944, we have supported nonviolent activism rooted in faith, offering resources, accompaniment, and advocacy that build toward collective liberation and peace.

Are you part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)?

We are an independent organization made up mostly of Presbyterians, but we are not governed by the PC(USA). We work closely with the denomination and align with many of its justice-based initiatives.

What does PPF do?

We equip and support individuals, congregations, and communities to take bold, faithful action for peace and justice. Our work includes:

What do you believe about LGBTQ+ inclusion?

We believe queer and trans people are beloved by God and essential to the work of peace and justice. We are committed to full inclusion and celebrate LGBTQ+ leadership in every aspect of our organization.

Do I have to be Presbyterian or Christian to participate?

Nope! While we are grounded in Christian nonviolence and Presbyterian tradition, we welcome people of all faiths—or no faith—who are committed to justice, peace, and collective liberation.

Where are you located?

Our staff and volunteers are based all over the U.S. We are a virtual organization, which means much of our work happens online and in local communities rather than from a central office.

Can someone from PPF speak at my church or event?

We would love to! We can lead workshops, give presentations, preach, or speak on specific topics like nonviolence, accompaniment, or peace church organizing. Reach out to us at info@presbypeacefellowship.org to start the conversation.
